This is DBNPA (2,2-Dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide), a commonly used rapid and broad-spectrum industrial disinfectant / germicide.
Mechanism of action and stability
Bactericidal: Penetrates the cell membrane, damages the enzyme system and nucleic acids, and quickly kills microorganisms
Stability: Acidic stable, easily hydrolyzed in alkaline conditions; prone to decomposition and inactivation upon heat, ultraviolet radiation, and reducing agents (such as H₂S).
