Zinc Bis(dinonylnaphthalenesulphonate) CAS 28016-00-4
Zinc Bis(dinonylnaphthalenesulphonate) (CAS 28016-00-4), an oil-soluble highly effective rust inhibitor, is the main component for rust prevention, anti-emulsification and anti-oxidation in industrial lubricants / greases and metal processing fluids. It is a commonly used environmentally friendly rust inhibitor for high-end oils.
Solubility: Excellent oil solubility, insoluble in water (water solubility ≈ 229 μg/L)
Properties: Rust-proof, anti-emulsification, antioxidant, anti-wear, salt spray resistant
Thermal stability: Good, suitable for high-temperature oil systems

1. Industrial lubricants / greases (commonly used)
Zinc Bis(dinonylnaphthalenesulphonate) CAS 28016-00-4 is used in hydraulic oil, gear oil, turbine oil, and lubricating grease, serving as an efficient anti-rust / anti-corrosion additive. It significantly enhances salt spray resistance, heat resistance, and water immersion resistance, preventing metal corrosion. It improves anti-emulsification properties, accelerates oil-water separation, and protects the water separation performance of the oil.
2. Metal processing fluids
Zinc Bis(dinonylnaphthalenesulphonate) CAS 28016-00-4 is used in cutting oil, stamping oil, anti-rust oil, and for inter-process anti-rust and extreme pressure anti-wear. It is suitable for black metals and some non-ferrous metals, with low corrosion.
3. Other industries
Anti-rust coatings, solvent-based sealants, anti-rust / dispersing additives for oilfield chemicals
It is often combined with ZDDP and phenolic antioxidants to enhance the oxidation life of the oil.
