What is Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate CAS 6132-04-3?

Trisodium citrate dihydrate is an organic compound that appears as white to colorless crystals. It is odorless and has a cool, salty and spicy taste. It is stable at room temperature and air, slightly soluble in humid air, and weathers in hot air. It loses water of crystallization when heated to 150°C. Easily soluble in water, soluble in glycerin, insoluble in alcohols and other organic solvents, decomposed by overheating, slightly deliquescent in humid environment, slightly weathered in hot air.
