Glyceryl Monooctanoate CAS 26894-47-3
Glyceryl Monooctanoate, CAS 26894-47-3, is a non-ionic emulsifier that stabilizes oil-water systems and prevents stratification. It improves texture, water retention, and tenderness (for food/cosmetics). The melting point is approximately 40°C; the boiling point is approximately 250°C (decomposes). It has broad-spectrum antibacterial properties, stronger than glyceryl monooctanoate, and is effective at low concentrations (0.05% – 0.5%).
