Ethylenedioxy Dimethanol / EDDM Cas 3586-55-8
3586-55-8 Ethylene Glycol Semi-Ketal (EDDM), a water-based broad-spectrum low-toxicity preservative, is the main component for coatings / emulsions / adhesives / personal care products preservatives. It is highly flammable and releases formaldehyde upon contact with acids. Ethylene glycol dimethoxy must be strictly protected against fire and acids.

Solubility: Miscible in water in any proportion, soluble in polar organic solvents
