    Application

    1. Organic synthesis catalysts

    Phase transfer catalysis (PTC): As an efficient phase transfer catalyst, it promotes ion transfer between the aqueous phase and the organic phase, significantly improves the rate and yield of heterogeneous reactions, and is widely used in drug synthesis (such as sulfonylation, dehydration reaction) and pesticide intermediate preparation.
    Nucleophilic reagent: Generates alkyl bromide ions, participates in reactions such as acyl substitution and etherification, and simplifies the synthesis path of complex molecules (such as dyes and polymer monomers).
    2. Materials Science
    Electrolyte for energy devices: Due to its high ionic conductivity, it is used as a supporting electrolyte for fullerene electroreduction to improve the charge and discharge efficiency of batteries and supercapacitors.
    Polymer modifier: Introduces bromine/phosphorus atoms into polymer chains such as polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride to enhance the thermal stability, mechanical strength and flame retardant properties of the material.
