Potassium Oleate CAS 143-18-0
Potassium oleate (CAS 143-18-0) is an anionic surfactant derived from oleic acid. It has excellent emulsifying, foaming and lubricating properties. It acts as trimerization catalyst for PIR rigid foam, emulsifier for rubber latex, lubricant & cleaner for metal working, and emulsifier in cosmetics.

1. Polyurethane industry (main product): PIR rigid insulation foam trimer catalyst, used for building insulation panels, regulating curing process and enhancing foam flame retardancy.
2. Rubber / Latex: Natural latex emulsifier, foaming agent, isolator, for preparing sponge rubber; improving the stability of latex system.
3. Metal processing: Metal cutting fluid lubricant, metal degreasing and cleaning agent, for removing oxide layer and oil stains from metal surfaces.
4. Cosmetics / Personal care products: Cream, shampoo emulsifier, raw material for soap-based products (cosmetics grade).
5. Textile / Leather: Fiber softener, leather emulsified degreasing agent.
6. Others: Ink dispersion aid, coating aid, polishing agent.
1. Excellent emulsifying and foaming capabilities, anionic natural-based surfactant
Derived from oleic acid, biodegradable; strong emulsifying power, rich and stable foam, suitable for rubber latex and cosmetic systems.
2. Special trimer catalyst for polyurethane PIR (core selling point)
Potassium oleate can replace part of organic tin to catalyze the cyclization reaction of isocyanurate; fast foaming speed, stable gel, used for hard insulation foam boards, low odor.
3. Dual effects of lubrication and cleaning
Potassium oleate has the functions of lubrication, degreasing and dispersion; used for metal cutting and metal surface cleaning, reduces friction, removes oil stains and oxide scale.
4. Good compatibility
Potassium oleate can be combined with other anionic and non-ionic surfactants; stable in medium alkaline systems, widely applicable to rubber, textile and cosmetics formulations.

Environment: Cool, dry, well-ventilated storage room; recommended storage temperature: 5 - 30℃. Avoid direct sunlight and keep away from heat sources (boilers, steam pipes). Excessive temperature will accelerate oxidation, discoloration and produce odors.
Sealing: The container must be sealed for storage. Powders are prone to absorb moisture and form lumps; aqueous solutions will oxidize, pH will decrease and microorganisms will grow if left exposed for a long time.
