N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone also known as NMP or 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, is a solvent used in a range of products.NMP is a colorless to yellowish transparent liquid with a slight smell of ammonia. NMP is miscible with water in any proportion and is soluble in various organic solvents such as ether, acetone and ester, haloalkane, aromatics, etc. It is completely mixed with almost all solvents, with a boiling point of 204 ℃, a flash point of 91 ℃, strong hygroscopicity, stable chemical performance, non corrosive to carbon steel and aluminum, and slightly corrosive to copper.
