Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride (DDAC) has a CAS number of 7173-51-5. It is a type of cationic surfactant with double-chain structure and is also a broad-spectrum and moderately effective disinfectant.
Appearance: An industrial commonly used colorless to pale yellow transparent viscous liquid. Common specifications include 50% and 80% active substance aqueous solutions. The pure form is a white solid.
Solubility: Easily soluble in water, ethanol, and isopropanol. Resistant to hard water and stable in a pH range of 2 to 12.
Properties: Low foam, also having the functions of wetting, stripping biofilms, sterilization, and anti-static.

1. Disinfection and sterilization (main applications)
Public / Medical: Environmental object surfaces, equipment, floors, disinfection wipes, cold chain disinfection;
Agriculture and Livestock Breeding: Livestock pens, farms, drinking water, livestock breeding equipment disinfection, to kill enveloped viruses such as avian influenza and foot-and-mouth disease;
Water treatment: Circulating cooling water, swimming pools, oilfield water injection for sterilization and algae elimination, to inhibit the growth of legionella, algae, and sludge.
2. Daily Care and Household
Antibacterial cleaners, clothing disinfectants, pet environment disinfectants, wood / leather mold inhibitors; Low concentrations can be used as anti-dandruff hair care ingredients.

Textile industry: Fabric softeners, synthetic fiber anti-static agents; Paper, coating industry anti-corrosion and anti-mold, resin dispersants.
