Tricyclodecane Dimethanol (TCDDM), CAS 26896-48-0, is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of approximately 102-106℃. It exists as a solid at room temperature and melts upon heating. 4,8-BIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)TRICYCLO[5.2.1.0(2,6)]DECANE. Water-resistant, weather-resistant, chemical-resistant: saturated ring without benzene ring, resistant to ultraviolet rays, resistant to acids and alkalis, and not prone to yellowing.

Application

1. UV monomers
UV ink, UV glue, PCB photoresist, 3D printing photosensitive resin;
High hardness, low shrinkage, water and wear-resistant, high-end photopolymer-specific monomers.
2. Polyester / alkyd resins, polyurethane raw materials
High-end saturated polyester, roll coating paint, automotive topcoat resin: enhance paint film hardness, heat resistance, weather resistance, scratch resistance;
Polyurethane (PU) monomers: high-grade elastomer, artificial leather, water-based PU resin.
3. Fragrances, plasticizers intermediates
Synthesize tricyclodecane dimethanol-based fragrances through organic acid esterification, cold-resistant and environmentally friendly plasticizers, replacing some phthalic acid-based plasticizers.
4. Electronic, optical materials
Tricyclodecane Dimethanol is used for optical polyester and liquid crystal matching resin raw materials, with low birefringence and high transparency.
