Triacetonamine CAS 826-36-8
Triacetonamine, with the English name 2,2,6, 6-tetramethyl-4-piperidone, abbreviated as TAA, CAS 826 36 8. TAA is an important nitrogen-containing heterocyclic organic compound and has key applications in fields such as chemical engineering and materials.
Triacetonamine is a white or pale yellow powder with a melting point of 43 ℃ and a boiling point of 205 ℃. 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidone is soluble in acetone, alcohols, ethers, and water. Triacetone amine has anti arrhythmic and anti myocardial hypoxia effects. The hindered amine light stabilizer raw material 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinol can be prepared by hydrogenation (at atmospheric pressure or 3-4 MPa) using triacetamines as raw material and ethanol as solvent under the action of catalyst.

Synthesis of hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS):
Triacetonamine TAA can be used to prepare classic HALS products such as Tinuvin 770 and Chimassorb 944 through reactions like reduction (ketone group to hydroxyl group) and etherification (hydroxyl group combined with other groups). This type of stabilizer can delay the photo-aging and thermal aging of polymer materials (such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane) by capturing free radicals and decomposing peroxides generated during the aging process of materials, thereby extending their service life (such as outdoor plastic pipes, automotive coatings, agricultural films, etc.).
Other fields
Triacetonamine TAA, as an organic synthesis intermediate, is used to prepare drugs containing piperidine rings (such as some antihistamines and neurotropic drugs).
Triacetonamine TAA is used as an auxiliary agent for the preparation of special functional dyes and photosensitive materials.
Usually packed in 25kg/drum,and also can be do customized package.
