Sulphur Red 6 CAS 1327-85-1
Purple-brown powder. Sulphur Red 6 is soluble in water and dissolves in sodium sulfide solution, presenting a reddish-brown to brown color. It appears dark blue-purple in concentrated sulfuric acid and forms brown precipitate after dilution. Sulphur Red 6 appears yellowish-brown in an alkaline sodium hyposulfite solution and returns to its normal color after oxidation.

Sulfurized red-brown B3R is mainly used for dyeing cotton, linen, viscose fiber, vinylon and their fabrics, as well as for blending various coffee-colored hues with red light. Sulphur Red 6 is also mixed with sulfurized yellow-brown 5G and sulfurized black BN as the three primary colors to dye various shades of gray, camel, light brown, etc. It can also be used for leather coloring.
