SCLEROGLUCAN CAS 39464-87-4
The CAS 39464-87-4 of scleroglucan polysaccharide (Scleroglucan) is usually a white to light yellow powder. Scleroglucan is a natural polysaccharide compound produced by the fermentation of filamentous fungi of the genus Micronucleus.
Scleroglucan is a non-ionic water-soluble polysaccharide produced by filamentous fungi, characterized by good rheology and stability. Scleroglucan has a wide range of stability at pH (1-12), mineralization (0-2000000 ppm), and temperature (130 ℃).

In the industrial field: Scleroglucan can be used as a thickener and stabilizer for drilling fluids or fracturing fluids in oilfield exploitation, optimizing fluid performance. The typical addition amount is 0.5% to 3% of the total mass of the drilling fluid. In water-based adhesives, scleroglucan polysaccharide can be used for bonding materials such as paper and wood, and the dosage is usually 1% to 5% of the total mass of the adhesive.
In the field of chemical engineering: Scleroglucan can be used as an emulsion stabilizer to optimize emulsion performance by taking advantage of its surface activity. The general dosage is 0.1%-2% of the total mass. Scleroglucan can also be used to prepare gel materials, suitable for the cosmetics or coating fields. The dosage is adjusted according to the hardness requirements of the gel, usually 0.5%-10% of the solvent mass.
In the textile field: Scleroglucan can be used as a textile finishing agent to optimize the surface properties of fabrics, such as antistatic or flexibility. The usage amount is usually 0.5% to 3% of the total mass of the finishing solution. In the textile sizing process, the strength and wear resistance of yarns can be enhanced, and the dosage is usually 1% to 5% of the total mass of the sizing solution.
1. Unilong is dedicated to industrial-grade and petroleum-grade scleroglucan. Our product delivers exceptional thickening performance in drilling additives and asphalt synthesis.
2. For drilling applications, the Yield Point (YP) of our Scleroglucan is far higher than the drilling industry standards, with an average of over 20 pa per batch.
3. Boasting an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons, we maintain year-round inventory and ensure fast delivery—capable of meeting all your urgent demand.
✅Excellent temperature resistance: Scleroglucan has outstanding thermal stability. For instance, the viscosity of petroleum-grade hard glucan does not decrease after being hot-rolled at 140℃ for 16 hours, nor does it decrease after being maintained at 100℃ for 60 days.
✅Good salt resistance: Scleroglucan can maintain stable viscosity in high-salinity environments and can exist stably at a salinity of 0-200,000ppm. Its salt resistance is superior to that of many other microbial polysaccharides and synthetic polymers.
✅Strong acid and alkali resistance: Sclerotium gum demonstrates excellent stability within a wide pH range (1-12), maintaining the stability of its structure and performance in both acidic and alkaline environments.
✅Excellent shear resistance: Scleroglucan has outstanding shear resistance. When subjected to shear force, its viscosity does not change significantly and can maintain good rheological properties.
✅Biodegradability: Scleroglucan is a natural polysaccharide that is biodegradable and meets environmental protection requirements. It helps reduce chemical pollution and has great application potential in some fields with high environmental protection requirements.
Usually packed in 25kg/drum,and also can be do customized package.
