Nicotinamide CAS 98-92-0
Nicotinamide, also known as nicotinamide, vitamin B3 or vitamin PP, is a water-soluble vitamin belonging to the B vitamins. It is a component of coenzyme I (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, NAD) and coenzyme II (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate, NADP). The nicotinamide part of these two coenzyme structures in the human body has reversible hydrogenation and dehydrogenation properties, plays a role in hydrogen transfer in biological oxidation, and can promote tissue respiration, biological oxidation process and metabolism.

1. Skincare field
(1) Whitening and fading spots
Mechanism: Inhibits the transfer of melanin from melanocytes to the epidermis (core ingredient of OLAY's little white bottle).
Concentration: 2-5% (Higher than 5% May cause irritation).
(2) Barrier repair
Thickening the stratum corneum: Reducing transdermal water loss, suitable for sensitive skin (such as Cerave lotion).
Anti-red blood vessels: Reduce skin redness (auxiliary care for rosacea).
(3) Anti-aging
Enhance skin NAD+ : Delay cellular aging (when used in combination with NAD+ precursors such as NMN).
Reduce wrinkles: Stimulate collagen production (Clinically proven effective at 3% concentration).
2. Agricultural applications
(1) Plant growth regulation:
Enhance the stress resistance of crops (such as drought resistance and salt stress resistance).
(2) Pesticide enhancers:
Improve the foliar absorption rate of certain fungicides.
