1. Fiber Modification: N-Methylolacrylamide NMA can be used to improve the wear resistance, wrinkle resistance and dyeing properties of fibers. By reacting with hydroxyl groups or amino groups in the fibers, a stable crosslinking structure is formed, thereby improving the mechanical strength and chemical stability of the fibers.
2. Resin processing: In resin processing, N-(Hydroxymethyl)acrylamide can significantly improve the heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of the resin. N-(Hydroxymethyl)acrylamide is commonly used in the modification of acrylic resins, polyurethane resins and epoxy resins.
3. Adhesives: NMA can be used to prepare high-performance adhesives, such as for bonding paper, leather, metal and plastics. Its crosslinking properties help improve the adhesive strength and durability.
4. Coating: In the coating industry, N-MAM CAS 924-42-5, as a crosslinking agent, can improve the adhesion, wear resistance and weather resistance of the coating. N-MAM CAS 924-42-5 is commonly used in the preparation of water-based coatings and powder coatings.
5. Oilfield additives: NMA can be used to prepare chemical additives for oilfields, such as drilling fluid additives and cementing materials, to improve the efficiency of oilfield operations.
6. Soil Improver: N-Methylolacrylamide can be used to improve soil structure, improve soil water retention and breathability, thereby promoting plant growth.
Crosslinkability: N-Methylolacrylamide NMA molecules contain polymerizable double bonds and condensed hydroxymethyl groups, making them characterized by crosslinking agent monomers, improving the mechanical strength, heat resistance and chemical corrosion resistance of the material.
Water Solubility: N-Methylolacrylamide NMA is extremely soluble in water, which makes it easy to use and handle in aqueous systems and is widely used in water-based coatings, adhesives and textile additives.
Reactivity: The hydroxymethyl groups in NMA are prone to condensation reactions under neutral or alkaline conditions to form methylene bridges, which makes it very useful in the preparation of thermosetting resins and crosslinked polymers.
Stability: In humid air or water, NMA is unstable and polymerization is prone to occur. In aqueous solution, if acid is present and heated, it will quickly polymerize into insoluble resin.
