Application

Succimer is mainly used to treat lead poisoning in pediatric patients (usually aged 12 months and above) with blood lead levels exceeding a certain clinical threshold. 2,3-diMercaptosuccinic acid can also be used adjunctively in the treatment of mercury poisoning in some cases.
