    What is Fluorescent Brightener 28 CAS 4193-55-9?

    Fluorescent Brightener 28 is a high-efficiency, bis-triazinylaminostilbene-based optical brightening agent (OBA). Optical brightener 28 absorbs ultraviolet light (300-400 nm) and re-emits it as intense blue-violet fluorescence (400-500 nm), effectively masking the inherent yellowness of substrates and producing a bright, visually white appearance. Optical Brightener 28 is particularly valued in polymer and coating applications for its excellent thermal stability and compatibility.

    Application

    (1) Plastics Industry:
    Fluorescent brightener 28 widely used as a whitening agent for thermoplastics such as PVC, PP, PE, ABS, PS, and engineering plastics to enhance brightness and whiteness.
    (2) Coatings & Paints:
    An effective brightener for architectural paints, industrial coatings, automotive finishes, and UV-curable systems.
    (3) Synthetic Fibers:
    Optical brightener 28 used in the spin finishing or mass pigmentation of polyester, nylon, and acetate fibers to achieve brilliant whiteness.
    (4) Inks & Masterbatches:
    Key additive in specialty printing inks and white masterbatches for consistent whitening performance.
    (5) Paper & Detergents:
    Applied in high-quality paper coating and as an optical brightener in some industrial detergent formulations.
