Dihydromyrcene is primarily used as a spice intermediate.
1. Commonly used to mix daily chemical products such as soap, shampoo, shower gel, etc., to give the product a natural plant fragrance.
2. Synthesis of high-grade fragrances: As a precursor, dihydromyrupenol is produced by hydroxylation, with lily of the valley and citrus fragrances, used in perfumes and skin care products.
3. Fragrance derivatives: Epoxy and ring opening reactions can produce derivatives containing ether or ester bonds, with floral fragrances, and are used as fragrance fixing agents for high-end perfumes.
4. Food flavor: After safety assessment, Dihydromyrcene is used to mix food flavors such as citrus, tropical fruit flavors, etc. to enhance the layering of the aroma.
