Dazomet CAS 533-74-4
Dazomat has the chemical name 5-thiadiazine-2-thione,tetrahydro-3,5-dimethyl-2h-3, and Cas 533-74-4. Dazomet is a broad-spectrum and highly effective fumigant soil disinfectant. Basamide kills harmful organisms in the soil by producing methyl isothiocyanate (MITC) gas through its decomposition in the soil. Cotton wool itself is a solid particle or powder (commonly 98% particulate agent). After being applied to moist soil, dazomat will rapidly decompose under appropriate temperature and humidity, producing methyl isothiocyanate (MITC) gas. This gas diffuses in the gaps between soil particles and can directly contact and kill various harmful organisms mentioned above.

Broad spectrum pesticides. The nematode killing agent with fumigation effect decomposes methyl isothiocyanate, formaldehyde, and hydrogen sulfide in the soil, and has a killing effect on root knot nematodes, stem nematodes, and ectoid nematodes. In addition, dazomet has insecticidal, bactericidal, and weeding effects, so dazomet can also treat soil fungi, underground pests, and quinoa weeds, such as potato filamentous fungi, soil phosphorus winged insects, percussion insects, and larvae of the May tortoise beetle. Using 98% particulate agent 750-900g/100m2 sandy soil and 900-1050g/100m2 clay for soil treatment, spraying or trenching, can prevent and control vegetable and peanut nematode diseases. Using 75% wettable powder 1125g/100m2 can prevent and control potato root nematode disease.
1. Fumigation mechanism: Dazomet itself is a solid particle, but after decomposition in soil, it produces methyl isothiocyanate (MITC) gas. This gas can diffuse in soil voids, achieving three-dimensional fumigation disinfection and covering the spraying area without dead corners.

3. Thoroughly decomposed: Dazomet and its metabolites will eventually be completely decomposed into non-toxic and harmless natural substances such as water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, etc., which is the basis of its environmental characteristics.
4. Non selective: Dazomet has a killing effect on all organisms (including harmful and beneficial ones), so while disinfecting, it also clears the microbial system in the soil (beneficial bacteria need to be supplemented later).
