Chimassorb 944 (CAS 71878-19-8) is a high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS).
UV Absorber 944 is a polymerized high-molecular-weight hindered amine light stabilizer, featuring low volatility, migration resistance, and high-temperature resistance. The hindered amine groups in the chemical structure of UV 944 can effectively capture free radicals, thereby playing a role in light stabilization.
Polymeric high-efficiency hindered amine light stabilizer, low volatilization, low migration, thermal stability and anti-oxidation effect, synergistic with antioxidants and UV absorbers. UV Absorber 944 can be applied to polyolefins, olefin copolymers, but also for polyphenylene ether complexes, polyoxymethylene, amides, soft and hard PVC and PVC blends.

Chimassorb 944 can effectively enhance the light stability of thin products, especially fiber and film products. UV 944 is also suitable for thick cross-section products and polyethylene products.
The application fields of UV Absorber 944 include polyolefin plastics (such as PP, PE), olefin copolymers (such as EVA), and blends of polypropylene (PP) and elastomers, etc. In addition, UV Absorber 944 can also be used in polyoxymethylene (POM), polyamide (PA), polyurethane (PU), flexible and rigid PVC, and PVC mixtures. Chimassorb 944 is also very effective for special applications of styrene-based elastomers and adhesives.
