Bromoethane is a colorless, transparent, flammable, and volatile liquid. Bromoethane has an ether odor and a spicy taste. Bromoethane turns pale yellow when exposed to light in the air. Bromoethane can be mixed with ethanol, ether, chloroform, and organic solvents, but is insoluble in water. Easy to evaporate.
