    2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) is a new type of fungicide introduced to China from Europe. Isothiazolinone organic compounds can inhibit the growth and reproduction of various microorganisms (such as bacteria, fungi, yeasts, etc.) and are a widely used broad-spectrum fungicide. Compared with other types of fungicides, isothiazolinone fungicides have advantages such as obvious effects and fast action speed in controlling the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and preventing the formation of biofilms.

    1. Personal care and cosmetics industry
    2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one MIT as one of the core preservatives, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms (bacteria, molds, yeasts) in products and extend their shelf life. Common application products include:
    Liquid skin care products (such as toner, lotion, essence).
    Cleaning products (such as shampoo, body wash, hand sanitizer.
    Makeup and hair care products (such as lipstick and conditioner).
    2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one MIT should be noted that as some people may experience skin sensitization, the concentration and restrictions of its use in leave-on skin care products must comply with the regulations of various countries (such as the EU Cosmetics regulations).
    2. Industrial and commercial fields
