1,3,5-Tris(2-hydroxyethyl)cyanuric acid (Tris 2-hydroxyethyl Isocyanurate), abbreviated as THEIC, is an important organic compound, with a CAS number of 839-90-7. Tris 2-hydroxyethyl Isocyanurate has certain stability and is not prone to decomposition at normal temperature and pressure, but it is incompatible with strong oxidants. The Tris(2-hydroxyethyl) Isocyanurate molecule contains hydroxyl groups, which can react with carboxylic acids, anhydrides, haloacyl groups, etc. to form esters. Under high-temperature conditions, it can react with dibasic acids to form three-dimensional polyester structures. Under medium and low temperature conditions, THEIC can react with isocyanate to form carbamate, and under medium and high temperature conditions, it can react with diisocyanate to form three-dimensional polyurethane.
