Soluble in glacial acetic acid, ethanol, benzene, petroleum ether, and very easily soluble in ether. 1. 1-Decanol is a raw material for manufacturing surfactants, plasticizers, synthetic fibers, defoaming agents, herbicides, lubricant additives and spices, etc. It is also used as a solvent for inks, etc. 1 decanol is a spice that is allowed to be used in GB2760-96 and is mainly used to prepare orange, lemon, coconut and assorted fruit flavors.
2. 1-Decanol used in trace amounts in flavor formulas such as acacia, osmanthus, violet, red rose, orange blossom, narcissus, iris, lilac, jasmine and sweet orange blossom. N decyl alcohol can be used as a mixture or modifier of linalool in low-end floral formulas. Sometimes used for industrial deodorization or masking the bad smell of industrial products. 1-Dec can also be used in small amounts in food flavors such as cream, sweet orange, coconut, lemon and various fruit flavors.
3. 1-Decanol is also a raw material for polyvinyl chloride wire covering materials and plasticizers (DIDP, DIDA) for high-grade artificial leather, uranium refining, defoaming agents, surfactants, and solvents.
4. In agriculture, 1-Decanol can be used as a solvent and stabilizer for herbicides, pesticides and synthetic raw materials. N decyl alcohol is used as a ripening agent for green fruits and can also be used to control the germination of ornamental plants and tobacco seeds.
